Lisette A. Corona , CA 7/27/2012 Fun fun fun!! Had such a blast as my husband and I walked Old Town Temecula tasting different wines, foods and at the same time meeting new people. We had a great tour guide “Trudy” and had not only 1 but 2 wine tastings that ended with great buffalo wings and beer! I can’t wait to do it again definitely a new spin on wine tasting! Count me in anytime!!

Becky B. Bonner County, ID                                                                                                                            Our tour  first visited a beautifully decorated winery with the feel of home and got to taste a wide variety of olive oils and balsamic vinigrettes paired together and given wonderful ideas on how to make different summer salads with strawberries and goat cheese and walnuts w their strawberry balsamic and oregano or basil olive oil!! Delicious!! One lady on our tour bought 8 of them as gifts to her friends who love to cook! Great idea!! Our tour guide Trudy kept the whole group excited and super friendly and full of energy!! She informed us of the town events and made jokes the whole time! My husband and I had a blast and were introduced to a variety of delicious wines, including the peach sangria a special home made recipe at the first winery which was my favorite and the second winery we visited Trudy got us white and dark chocolate covered strawberries which brought out the flavor on the dessert wine which ended up being my favorite red wine on the tour!! We also got to try dark and milk chocolate covered bacon from the sweet shop in town and I’ve always wanted to try it and let me tell you it was wonderful it satisfied my sweet and salty cravings and I went and bought more when the tour was finished. We had delightful cupcakes like nothing I’ve ever tasted!! Remarkable!! We visited a Greek restaurant and enjoyed some fresh out of the oven pita bread with four incredible hummus dips including an eggplant one called bubba ganush which was to die for good!! Then there was a cilantro, chili pepper, and original one which were all explained to us by the friendly waiter which told us some interesting facts on the history and food of the restaurant. Then the last place we visited was Sweet Lumpys and kicked back and cooled down from the walking with some ice cold glasses of craft blonde beer which went down really smooth and super refreshing!! Nothing could of hit the spot more than Lumpy’s delicious wings and fried pickle chips(yes they were delicious w a spicy coating think I’m addicted now) w ranch and blue cheese dressing! Our tour guide Trudy also informed us of a happy hour tour on Thursday’s they would be having for only 25 bucks, an introductory price of course where we would enjoy some more beer and great food and get to listen to the sexy Twin McGraw sing and they may have a Fake Hill contest! So get ready Ladies!!! I can’t wait because I heard he sings great and is easy on the eyes in his tight jeans!! Ha ha!  I have recommended the tour to all my friends and have been twice already with and without my husband and made friends and enjoyed the fun town!!

Paula Q Garden Grove, CA 7/9/2012                                                                                          What a great way to experience a quaint little town! The art festival was going on when we arrived so the town was busting at the seams with people, which is great to see when times have been so tough for so many. We arrived at our starting point, Villa Di Calabro.  Villa Di Calabro was a charming little tasting room.  We had a group of 13 people in our tour and we were all treated to some lovely wines, a delicious homemade Peach Sangria and a very delicious port (we bought 4 bottles and joined the wine club). The back patio was the perfect setting for tastings.  I can see having a party there!   Villa Di Calabro also has wonderful olive oils and vinegars, the owner offered pairings of both and we were surprised at some of the combinations – Jalapeno Olive Oil, who would have thought it would be so delicious?

From there we walked to Soro’s and enjoyed some of the best hummus and pita I have ever had.  Soros also served us a wonderful salad.  It also had a lovely patio, great for gatherings.  We stopped by a little shop that sells some very hot sauces and some delicious homemade pepper jellies.  I bought some of the Blackberry Pepper Jelly and served it at a party with Jalapeno Poppers.  Great combo! Our tour guide Trudy then walked us to Lorimar for another wine tasting and while we were there the Sweet Shop had sent over some chocolate dipped strawberries for our group.  By this time our group of 13 were really having some fun!  We walked by the town jail and headed of to BBQ Sweet Lumpy’s.  There we had some great wings and an ice cold glass of beer.  Again, a fun place to hang out and have fun. The tour started out a little slow due to a few guests who were late due to all the towns activities and parking… but our tour guide Trudy just kept everyone up and we all went with the flow.  My husband and I both had a great time.  We had such a fun time meeting a great group of people. We can’t wait to go back and check out the rest of the town.

Ryan B. Murrieta, CA 6/22/2012                                                                                                                                                   This was an amazing tour.  It was great food and great wine.  It is a very relaxing tour and not rushed at all.  From the amazing olive oil tasting starting off the tour to the spice merchant and the many others it is a great time.  The tour guides are amazing and you are treated like family.  Thank you ladys for a great time.
