MusicMan Photographer Carl Kravats brings his artistic talent specializing in product photography and musicians’ portraiture to NAMM 2012, showcasing uniquely appealing images of musicians, instruments and their makers. His dynamic imagery will be featured at Booth #1304, January 19 – January 22, 2012 at the Anaheim Convention Center.
A graduate of the School of Visual Arts in New York, Carl learned his craft from world-renowned photographers such as Gary Winogrand, W. Eugene Smith and Bob Adelman. In addition to shooting more than 300 book covers for major publishing houses, Carl is the consummate commercial portrait photographer. His highly skillful technique and masterful use of lighting create photographs of instrument makers and their instruments that surprise the viewer with their artistry. Curves and grains, knobs and tuners, headstocks and valves are both beautiful and powerful, bringing the art of the maker directly to the viewer in new and unusual ways.
