Start polishing up your taste buds as Taste of Temecula introduces you to Chef Maureen and after taking our own private walking tour through Old Town proved to me that she needs no introduction. After our first meeting Chef Maureen and I decided to take a stroll through Old Town eating, drinking & being merry and as we made a few pit stops I was a little taken back at how well respected she was. Many of our local restaurant owners recognized her and Malcolm from The Edge mentioned that one of her restaurants located in idyllwild was among several favorites of his. We spoke of the new Perfect Pairing Tour, her past accolades and I was really interested in learning more about her traveling Culinary School which taught authentic cooking by going directly to the countries in which these great meals were born. As she toured the globe with hungry students looking to get more than just a recipe but the entire ethnicity that can make a good chef a phenomenal one. You can not get a better education then learning how to cook Greek by visiting Greece, preparing French Cuisine by visiting France or without marrying into the family. Now that’s Italian.
Students got the real deal as they feed on all the traditions and culinary techniques that helps give each culture it’s own unique flavor. People still are baffled by how Pizza in New York, whether you grab a slice at Sal’s in Brooklyn or from just a local street vendor in Central Park, Pizza just tastes better in The Big Apple! I know its the water or is it? I bet Maureen knows! Chef Maureen is going to be your new best friend in the kitchen as she has a wealth of information and has spent years acquiring skills from Top Culinary Chefs and locals just making a Tuscan Feast for their family. Help me welcome her to our TOT family where eating , drinking & being merry is not only a tradition but almost a religion. Chef Maureen is going to teach, cook and give you tips and tricks helping to make your time in the kitchen more useful, productive and enjoyable by the whole family, especialuy OU!
